Hooking up Military Characters with AnimStarterPack

  1. Create a new blank project.
  2. Import Animation Starter Pack and Military Character Dark (or Silver) from the Marketplace into the new project.
  3. Within the content browser, navigate to the MilitaryCharDark folder, right click on MW_Style2_MaleSkeleton and click Delete.
  4. At the bottom left of the Delete Assets dialogue box, select UE4_Mannequin_Skeleton in the dropdown, then click Replace References.
  5. Click OK in the Replace References? dialogue box.
  6. Click Save Selected in the Save Content dialogue box.
  7. Within the Content Browser, navigate to the AnimStarterPack folder and open the Ue4ASP_Character blueprint.
  8. Within the Components tab of the Ue4ASP_Character window, select the Mesh (Inherited) Skeletal Mesh Component.
  9. Within the Details tab of the Ue4ASP_Character window, select MW_Style2_Male in the Skeletal Mesh dropdown in the Mesh section.
  10. Confirm the changes by compiling and saving Ue4ASP_Character and observe the new Skeletal Mesh using the idle animation in the Viewport tab.
